A sprawling new luxury resort planned north of Brisbane will “transform” the area into Queensland’s next big tourism hotspot, according to the developer.
The $250 million Sandstone Point expansion in Moreton Bay will comprise two new 10-story buildings and more than 200 rooms next to the Pumicestone Passage.

A separate retail and entertainment area is also included in the masterplan, with restaurants, a bowling alley, shops and Tourism Information Centre.
Built by The Comiskey Group, the complex would expand on the existing Sandstone Point Hotel and Holiday Resort.
“It’s been years in the making,” director Rob Comiskey told 4BC Mornings with Bill McDonald on Thursday morning.
“It’s probably one of the biggest investments in south-east Queensland.
