Venus, our planet of love, attachment, attraction and wealth, is moving into the fastidious fields of Virgo this week.
Padding out of the lion’s den of Leo, where Venus expresses itself via sex tapes, soliloquies and a more is more approach to affection and aesthetics, the planet will sickle and cycle in the refined, potential fetishizing dirt of Virgo on September 19, where she shall remain until October 13.
Named for the goddess of love, Venus changes signs every 20 to 45 days or about once every three weeks. As an inner planet, Venus transits have an evident, immediate impact on us earthlings. Venusian transits influence our collective approach to love, pleasure, aesthetics, and our relationship to earning and spending money.
Venus is said to be in fall in the sign of Virgo, meaning she is unable to express her pleasure principles fully.
While we’ll all be under the shrewd eye and sharp tongue of this transit, four zodiac signs will experience it most acutely.
Read for your sun and rising sign.
“Virgo, the planet of beauty and pleasure, enters your sign, and you are feeling the love… even if it is difficult for you to accept! Venus in Virgo makes you hypercritical (and potentially suspicious) of the very things and people that bring you joy,” Rachel Ruth Tate, a certified astrologer at Casinos Analyzer, told The Post.
She shared that even if you are feeling self-conscious, the world at large is viewing you as the impossibly hot and wildly capable earth being that you are.
Therapist Jaime Bronstein, LCSW of DateMyAge, urges Virgo ilk to muzzle the internal monologue that tells them they are less than or worse than they once were.
“Pay attention to what’s strong, what you enjoy. Show your humor. Show what you care about. Show your way of thinking. Your presence carries far more weight than the small things you criticize.”
Tate explains, “Pisces and Virgo are part of an axis. When Venus enters Virgo, she is lighting up the energy sector opposite to your own sun or rising sun, putting a warm spotlight on your partnerships and love connections.”
Venus in Virgo draws your attention to details, subtle moments, and small conversations that, if you’ll allow them, can make you feel both safe and free in your relationships.
However, there is a tendency under these skies for Pisces folk to evade, avoid, or escape when relationships feel more rocky than rosy.
However, as Bronstein advises, this is a losing game.
“Avoiding people doesn’t keep you safe. It just keeps you stuck. Send the note. Ask the question. Share a small piece of your day. Those little moments remind you – connection can still grow.”
“This transit is all about pleasing yourself, Taurus… and you know EXACTLY what you like,” said Tate.
“Romance could also be in the air, and if you’re attempting to make an overture, do so after careful observation about exactly what your beloved enjoys. Take notes and know that preference recall is the key to all of our hearts during Venus’s time in Virgo,” she added.
Bronstein shared that the commonality of comfort can both sweeten and deepen our connections as, post fall equinox, we enter into the dark half of the year.
“Share the routines, the tastes, the passions that make you who you are. That kind of grounded confidence only grows more appealing over time. Cook a favorite meal. Put on music you’ve loved for decades. Those familiar joys often speak louder than anything new.”
“While Venus is making her way through Virgo, she is working deep in your subconscious mind, Libra, loving on all of your mental and emotional hang-ups. At the same time, she formulates solutions to whatever is worrying you. Journaling, meditation, therapy, and prayer are all highly recommended,” said Tate.
She notes that for the people of the scales, this transit is an experiment in surrender and acceptance, an energy echoed by Bronstein.
“This season may stir up old worries, but it also offers space to release them. Use this moment as a chance to step back, notice the progress you’ve made, and allow yourself to believe in new possibilities.”
