The last full week of January is chilly for most Americans, but it’s also when some hot streaming content premieres for eager viewers to binge-watch.

This week on streamers such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and more, we’ve got new release films, brand-new TV premieres and the return of beloved shows like Bridgerton.

Watch With Us has picked the best of the best for you to watch this week.

Our choices include the streaming debut of the Oscar-nominated If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, the new Ryan Murphy sci-fi horror series The Beauty and more.

‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 — Netflix

Bridgerton Season 4 | Meet Sophie Baek | Netflix

Netflix’s popular costume drama returns with season 4 of Bridgerton, and fans are already on the edge of their seats to see what’s in store for characters like Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey). If you’ve been living under a rock, Bridgerton is set in Regency-era England and follows the siblings of the powerful, eponymous family, as they search for love and navigate high society. Season 4 is set to focus on the second-eldest Bridgerton sibling, Benedict (Luke Thompson), as the creators promise a “very different trajectory.”

We have no doubt that season 4 of Bridgerton will be just as exceptional as the first three, which offer the classic period melodramas audiences love with a modern sensibility and diverse casting. Bridgerton is the ultimate escapist fantasy, with its dreamy production design, compelling romance, high-stakes drama and strong characters.

‘The Beauty’ Season 1 — Hulu

If there’s one thing you can learn from television, it’s that Ryan Murphy always has a new show in the pipeline. After the one-two punch this past fall of All’s Fair and Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Murphy is back once again with an all-new show for Hulu. The Beauty is based on the comic book of the same name and follows a sexually transmitted treatment that aesthetically enhances victims while carrying devastating side effects.

As is typical of a Ryan Murphy joint, the cast of The Beauty is stacked and includes Evan Peters, Rebecca Hall, Bella Hadid, Isabella Rossellini and Ashton Kutcher. So far, The Beauty is faring considerably better with critics than Murphy’s last two shows, some of whom have favorably compared it to 2024’s The Substance. It seems that Murphy has found a better vehicle for his horror-satire impulses that also harkens back to his early work in Nip/Tuck.

Stream The Beauty now on Hulu.

‘If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’ (2025) — HBO Max

Rose Byrne plays Linda, a mom who has been pushed to her absolute breaking point in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You — and it’s a performance that has earned Byrne a well-deserved Oscar nomination. The movie follows Linda as she struggles to care for her ill daughter while dealing with a hole that’s emerged in the ceiling of her apartment. Linda — a therapist herself — attempts to deal with the increasing pressures of her life by talking to her therapist (Conan O’Brien), but instead problems compound in the wake of her husband’s absence and a patient of hers going missing.

Mary Bronstein’s anxiety-inducing character drama is anchored by a truly revelatory performance from Byrne, who is flanked in the supporting cast by ASAP Rocky, Christian Slater, Ivy Wolk and Danielle Macdonald. Ultimately, If I Had Legs I’d Kick You is a raw and discomforting portrait of motherhood and mental illness that may leave you never wanting to watch the movie again — in a good way, somehow.

‘Shrinking’ Season 3 — Apple TV

Shrinking stars Jason Segel as a therapist who decides to take a drastically different approach to treating his patients. Still grieving over the recent death of his wife, Jimmy Laird (Segel) begins being brutally honest with his patients, which breaches barriers of ethics, yet nevertheless results in massive changes to his patients’ lives. Co-starring Harrison Ford as one of Laird’s fellow therapists, Shrinking also features Jessica Williams, Michael Urie and Christa Miller.

After two well-received previous seasons, Shrinking returns with its third, which has already garnered a number of positive reviews ahead of the premiere. The show has been highly praised for its writing and chemistry between Ford and Segel, as well as for its surprisingly deft and gentle touch in depicting loss and grief. In these wintry, depressing times, Shrinking feels like a balm you just can’t resist.

‘The Wrecking Crew’ (2026) — Prime Video

In The Wrecking Crew, stars Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa play two estranged half-brothers, one of whom is a cop, the other is a Navy SEAL, who reunite in the wake of their father’s mysterious death in Hawaii. As the brothers work together to uncover the truth, they unearth not just secrets but an entire conspiracy that threatens the safety of their family. The cast includes Claes Bang, Jacob Batalon and Stephen Root.

Ahead of the film’s January 28 premiere, The Wrecking Crew has already received positive reviews from critics who have praised the chemistry between Bautista and Momoa, as well as the fun, action-throwback vibes. While you’re not gonna find anything intelligent in The Wrecking Crew, you will find plenty of fun ultra-violence and movie comfort food.
