A man and a teenager have been charged over the death of up-and-coming model Natan Mwanza in Wyndham Vale following an alleged altercation on a bus.
Police said Mwanza was sitting on the bus when two young men approached him and a fight allegedly broke out. The fight spilled out onto a nature strip near Haines Drive, where Mwanza, who was not known to police, was stabbed just before 8pm.

Paramedics tried to save the 23-year-old but he died at the scene.
Homicide squad detectives charged a 17-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man with murder on Friday night.

The teenage boy, who is from the Wyndham area, and the man from Ascot, in Bendigo, have been remanded in custody and will appear in court on Saturday.
Mwanza’s sister Naomi said the death had “taken a piece” of her family.
She believed her brother had taken public transport to Wyndham Vale in order to go on his daily run.
The 23-year-old was remembered online as “humble”, and had appeared in ad campaigns for Champion, Nike and several sneaker stores.
