Investigators in the shooting of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk have yet to establish a motive for the killing, but the suspect is not co-operating with authorities, said Utah governor Spencer Cox on Sunday (Monday AEDT).
Robinson has not confessed to investigators, Cox told reporters.
“He is not co-operating, but all the people around him were co-operating, and I think that’s very important,” the Republican governor told the ABC.
The accused gunman, Tyler Robinson, 22, will be formally charged on Tuesday and remains in custody in Utah.

A memorial service for Kirk is set be held on September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. The venue can seat more than 60,000 people.
