Keanu Reeves has a message for all involved in locating his prized “John Wick” Rolex after it was brazenly stolen from his Los Angeles home by a foreign crime ring.
“It is with profound gratitude and appreciation that I am writing this letter,” pens Reeves in a handwritten note, obtained by The Post. The star then goes on to thank members of the FBI, Los Angeles Police Department and California Highway Patrol as well as officers and investigators in Chile.
“Thank you so much for all your effort, dedication, professionalism and across-border cooperation. My warmest regards, Keanu,” adds the star.
Law enforcement agents recovered some of the millions of dollars worth of valuables that were stolen from the actor’s LA home in 2023. Officials were able to track down the possessions after conducting a raid in Santiago, Chile over the summer.
A Rolex Submariner featuring a personal inscription on the back from the “John Wick” film was among one of six watches returned to Reeves.
Valued at $9,500, the watch was part of a gift package given out after “John Wick: Chapter 4” wrapped. In total, Reeves’ six watches were worth an estimated $125,000.
Authorities identified a Chilean crime ring as the perpetrators who robbed Reeves’ Hollywood Hills home.
The incident reflects a broader trend of foreigners coming into the US to burglarize unsuspecting victims, and return to their home country with their loot. Over the past few years, these groups have brazenly targeted wealthy SoCal communities.
While the case seemed to go cold for a little after the robbery, authorities tracked down a gang in Santiago suspected of being at the helm of these burglaries.
Eventually, the FBI and the Chilean police joined forces to search the homes of presumed ring members where the watches were ultimately discovered.
