Tom Brady wasn’t playing on Thanksgiving, literally or figuratively, as he fired off a brutal statement about younger football stars during Fox’s NFL pregame show. Considered the greatest quarterback of all time, the seven-time Super Bowl winner was on the scene for the network’s Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions game.
With “FOX NFL Sunday” airing live from Detroit, Michigan, near Ford Field, Brady stopped by the crew’s set to visit with colleagues Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, and Rob Gronkowski. As they’ve done in previous holiday celebrations, they had Thanksgiving food and some fun with football fans.

That included several segments in which the former NFL stars, including Bradshaw, Strahan, Gronk, and Brady, stepped onto a small football field to show how a few teams run plays with their star quarterbacks.
“The last time you did this, Week 2, we were in Kansas City. We had you throw to some kids. Here’s a look. Remember when you did this- this little eight-year-old kid?” Menefree asked as they rolled a highlight clip of him throwing a strong bullet pass at the kid.
“You fired it at him!” Menefree reminded Brady about the previous segment.
“Hey, I’m sorry, not sorry. Catch the damn ball,” Brady fired back regarding the young fan’s inability to handle his pass.
Brady’s colleagues groaned and laughed after hearing the G.O.A.T.’s remarks, before setting up for another Brady throw. This time around, he connected with the young kid on a softer pass for a fake touchdown on the other side of the small field.
He threw a second TD pass as Lions fans at the set cheered and celebrated the completions, both made by young fans wearing Lions gear.
Fans had plenty to say after seeing this pregame moment involving Brady, especially regarding his wild remark about the younger fan not catching his strong pass in Kansas City.
“Well, you don’t get to be the GOAT if you don’t expect the best from your receivers…,” one fan said in the X video comments.
Another wrote in an X comment, “lol, savage Tom! Gotta teach ’em young.”
“Bro firing lasers at 8 year olds,” a fan said on X, with another commenting, “Tom Brady has ZERO CHILL.”
Fans might remember Brady had his own roast on Netflix, where some of the skilled comedians took savage aim at the legendary quarterback. A few of the jokes may have stung Brady, just as his laser pass hit someone young or inexperienced at the game in the chest.
Following Brady’s pregame football lessons on Fox, he headed to the booth at Ford Field with his colleague, Kevin Burkhardt, to call the Packers vs. Lions game, a pivotal matchup on the NFL Thanksgiving schedule.
