The pilgrimage to the MCG has begun for Fremantle fans as die-hard Dockers supporters hit the road ahead of the team’s Grand Final clash against Brisbane on Saturday.
All three domestic airlines have announced thousands of extra seats to help accommodate fans coming from Perth and Brisbane to Melbourne, but the tickets don’t come cheap, with Jetstar charging $1300 one-way from Perth to Melbourne on Friday.
While some are booking those flights, others are choosing to make the journey by road, including BackChat podcaster Seb Clarke who is starting the journey this morning in the ‘Wharfie Mobile’ from Fremantle.
“We actually booked this in about midway through the year, we were so confident that the Dockers would get there,” he said.
