Beloved TikTok star Tucker Genal has died at the age of 31, according to family members and authorities.

Genal died by suicide after hanging himself at his California residence on Thursday, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s website.

The influencer boasted over 2.5 million followers on TikTok and rose to prominence on the app by partaking in entertaining challenges with his two brothers.

His brothers, Carson and Connor Genal, confirmed the news of his death in a heartbreaking Instagram post on Monday.

“I don’t even know where to begin, You were my best friend and an even better big brother, my entire life, I’ve spent looking up to you and trying to follow in your footsteps because you were always my hero,” Carson wrote.

“I know one thing is for certain, and that is that I will continue to spend the rest of my life looking up to you until we meet again. You were the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for,” he added.

The statement added that Tucker’s family will “respectfully ask for privacy as we mourn and begin to navigate life without him.”

Friends and fans have since taken to social media to express their love for Genal and grieve his sudden death.

“Tucker… idk where to start… you were my best friend in the whole world. 5 years ago I was in the deepest darkest place in my life and didn’t think there was a way out,” his friend, Sean Schutt, wrote in a tribute on Instagram.

“Tucker you gave me my motivation you brought a light in me that I never even knew I had. You are the kindest most selfless person I knew,” Schutt added.

Genal graduated from Furman University in Greenville, SC, in 2018 with a degree in business administration, according to his LinkedIn. He was a wide receiver on the school’s football team.
