The Los Angeles Dodgers have built the best team in the league. They’re the reigning World Series champions and have only gotten better this winter. Recently, Los Angeles agreed to terms on a deal to bring outfielder Teoscar Hernández back to the Dodgers.

What’s next for the Dodgers? How can they continue to improve?

FanSided’s Chris Landers has a very specific idea. Landers recently suggested the Dodgers could center a trade package around Gavin Lux to bring in Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. It would certainly be an upgrade if they can pull it off.

“So why not see whether the Chicago White Sox would be interested in a package involving Lux and a top prospect for outfielder Luis Robert?” Landers wrote. “We know the Dodgers are interested, and it’s not hard to see why: Robert has five-tool upside, and acquiring him would allow (Tommy) Edman to slide back onto the infield and create a formidable outfield trio of Robert, Hernández and a Michael Conforto/Andy Pages platoon in right field.”

Adding Robert would be another big upgrade for Los Angeles, especially if they can guide him back to his 2023 form. Robert slugged 38 home runs in a terrific 2023 campaign.

The Dodgers have plenty of prospects, including pitcher Bobby Miller, to throw in a trade for Robert. A trade centered around Lux and Miller could likely get the White Sox’s attention this winter, though, it would need to include some other top prospects as well.
