The New England Patriots’ dynasty ended a little over a half-decade ago when Tom Brady left the franchise for Tampa Bay, but the former empire might be fully back behind a new young quarterback in Boston.
Sophomore QB Drake Maye from the University of North Carolina did something no other Patriots player under center has done in over a decade, when Tom Brady did it in 2014.
In their Week 17 game against AFC East rivals, the New York Jets, Maye threw four touchdowns in the first half of the game to put the Patriots up 35-3 going into the half.
The last time this happened for the Patriots was when Tom Brady did it against the Chicago Bears in Week 8 of the 2014 season, with New England ultimately winning 51-23.
