Erika Kirk fights back tears in her first interview since the assassination of her husband, conservative activist Charlie Kirk, during a preview aired Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
In the clip, Watters played a video of Charlie discussing Turning Point USA, the organization he founded to promote conservative student activism.
“Wow, he looks so good,” Erika said as she watched. “Sorry, guys, just give me a second. It’s the longest video I’ve watched of him.”
Watters told her that Charlie “was on a mission to save Western civilization” and asked whether she knew that was “what you signed up for.”
“You know, well, no, I didn’t sign up for anything,” Erika replied. “I just married the love of my life.”
The interview marks Erika Kirk’s first televised sit-down since her 31-year-old husband was fatally shot at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Tyler Robinson, 22, of Utah, has been charged with first-degree murder in the killing.
Kirk founded Turning Point USA in 2012 and became a key figure in the MAGA movement, hosting a popular podcast and speaking at Republican events nationwide.
The emotional sit-down with host Jesse Watters will air in full on Wednesday, followed by an extended multi-part docuseries on Fox Nation two days later.
