Taylor Momsen brought the edge to the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Momsen, 32, stepped out on the Saturday, November 8, red carpet in a sheer lace halter gown, which she wore without a bra. The Gossip Girl alum accessorized her look with gold hoop earrings, a handful of bangles and chunky rings on nearly every finger.

For glam, Momsen rocked a sparkly smoke eye with a pale pink lip and wore her signature blonde tresses in loose waves that cascaded off one shoulder.

The Pretty Reckless frontwoman performed with Soundgarden later on Saturday to celebrate their induction, where she changed into a black slip dress with a subtle leg slit.

Momsen has long been a style standout.

“I just love music and fashion, so that’s what I surround myself with,” she told CR Fashion Book in a 2022 interview. “If I ever do notice someone that seems influenced by me, it’s humbling for sure, but I still just get dressed.”

She continued, “I think that, for a lot of musicians, fashion is a big part of the visual expression of their music. There’s the album art, the live show production, and the fashion.”

According to Momsen, she can trace her fashion inspiration to one of her all-time favorite bands.

“Seeing the White Stripes when I was a kid definitely had an impact on me,” Momsen  told the magazine at the time. “The monochromatic coloring of the stage and also them, the red and white aesthetic, gave the whole thing such presence and made me look at it as a whole as opposed to just what I’m wearing.”

Momsen first started exploring her style preferences during her run on The CW’s Gossip Girl. (Momsen famously played Jenny “Little J” Humphrey from season 1 to 4, eventually returning for a brief cameo in the 2012 series finale.)

“I started making the first [Pretty Reckless] record while I was still on the show,” she recalled on the Wednesday, November 5, episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “I would go to work at 4 in the morning on Gossip Girl, work till 6 or whatever time we wrapped and go straight to the studio … until 2:00 a.m., come back [home and] sleep for maybe an hour, and then do it all again. I was working all the time, so this whole ‘wild child’ persona was just the makeup and my fashion choices.”

Momsen, however, did admit that some of her grunge-inspired outfits were “outrageous.”

“But [they were] very me,” she said. “I was just being authentic, and I think some of that was curated. Also, it was my image. My image was a little out there and, I mean, now I call it pretentious. I look back on it and I go, ‘It’s cringey. How pretentious some of the things I would say were and how I’d speak and carry myself.’ But, that was who I was at the time.”

Momsen added, “I was being defensive because I felt like I constantly had to defend who I was as a person every time someone asked me a question instead of just answering it honestly.”
