Georgia Tech rose to its highest ranking since it finished the 2014 season at No. 8 on the heels of its 35-20 win over visiting Virginia Tech last week. The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an 18-0 lead and never trailed as Malachi Hosley ran for 129 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and Haynes King was 20-of-24 for 213 yards and a touchdown while also running for 60 yards and two scores. The run game was the difference as Georgia Tech piled up 268 yards at a 6.4-yard-per-carry pace.
Duke returns from a bye week after winning its third game in a row, taking a road victory at California 45-21 on Oct. 4. Darian Mensah comes in completing 69.8% of his throws for 1,838 yards and 15 touchdowns against just two interceptions, with Cooper Barkate and Sahmir Hagans each catching four TDs. Nate Sheppard has 447 rushing yards with four scores and Anderson Castle has six touchdown runs.
The Yellow Jackets have won the last four meetings, including a 24-14 victory at home last season, and lead the series 55-35-1.
