Alyssa “Bunnie XO” DeFord can do it all — modeling, podcasting, and music. But there’s one thing her husband, country singer Jelly Roll might argue with you on: cooking.
In a video shared to her Instagram page on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, Bunnie, 44, joked about her cooking skills, which she posits are not exactly the best.
“When you can’t bake to save your life but your hubby requests gluten free biscuits & he knos how terrible they’re about to be,” Bunnie wrote in text overlaying the video clip.
Evidently Bunnie’s biscuits didn’t appear appetizing, and the “Need a Favor” hitmaker, 40, had jokes.
“These are gonna be awful. Those look like sugar cookies,” he said.
Bunnie laughed it off, then asked, “Should I make them bigger? I’m not a baker.”
Jelly replied, saying, “I’d give them more than an inch. I’d give them an inch and a half.”
The couple loves to joke around, but in their serious, romantic moments, the two have often been open about how they make each other better people.
Back in November, Jelly spoke with People and shared how her and Bunnie have made their marriage work. He noted that the key to their successful marriage is to be intentional with their time. Specifically, the couple never spends more than two weeks apart from each other, despite their busy schedules.
“Fourteen days has been our rule kind of from the beginning,” Jelly said. “We actually just implemented that same rule with our 16-year-old [daughter Bailee]. Because we realized that we were going a month or two at a time without seeing her, and I was like, this just needs to be family.”
Jelly continued, nothing how prioritizing family has changed his life.
“My world shrunk when I focused on one woman,” Jelly said. “Everything that I believe going right for me is in the fact that I’m pretty grounded in my family.”
