JetBlue’s first BlueHouse airport lounge will begin welcoming the airline’s flyers on December 18, 2025 at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, inside Terminal 5.
The opening marks another step in JetBlue’s journey toward becoming a premium airline, setting it even further apart from Frontier, Spirit and Southwest airlines.
“BlueHouse has been years in the making, and it reflects the work of more than a hundred contributors who helped bring the space to life,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue told Newsweek.
“It has been a huge passion project as everyone focused on creating a uniquely JetBlue take on lounges while also keeping it both premium and authentically New York. BlueHouse is an important milestone in our JetForward strategy as it represents the kind of premium, customer-first experiences we’re investing in as we aim to be the East Coast’s best leisure airline.”
The 9,000-square foot, two-story space was designed to be “inviting, stylish and uniquely JetBlue,” a press release distributed by the airline said. It has an apartment-like vibe with curated local art, Art Deco design and nods to JetBlue’s history with decorative molding, brass accents and a lobby-style entry setting the tone.
Joe Coffee, The Greats of Craft and Please Don’t Tell beverages will be served to guests with fresh bites by Union Square Events. BlueHouse bites are inspired by the city’s favorite food with a menu to include bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches with New York cheddar in the morning, and pastrami on rye or chicken Caesar wraps later in the day.
Additionally, guests will have access to Wi-Fi, power outlets, a game room and seating areas for work and leisure. The game room gives travelers access to JetBlue-branded cards, chess, checkers and children’s toys.
The lounge is accessible to Mosaic members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers and transatlantic Mint customers. Mosaic members are frequent flyers who have received enough tiles gifted by JetBlue to be granted status.
Qualifying flyers are allowed to bring guests into the space. The type of entry they have determines how many guests they can bring and the cost of entry.
In addition to BlueHouse, JetBlue has been upgrading the travel experience with additional renovations to Terminal 5 (40 new retailers and amenities) as well as the rollout of upgraded domestic flight first class cabins, which will begin in 2026.
The next BlueHouse location will open at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Terminal C in 2026.
