Serena Page and Kordell Beckham set a high standard after winning season 6 of Love Island USA.

When season 6 premiered in June 2024, Serena immediately caught Kordell’s eye. The couple figured out their romance as viewers tuned in daily to see their bond get stronger. It wasn’t until Casa Amor that Serena and Kordell’s future started to get shaky. After Kordell briefly coupled up with Daia McGhee, he and Serena rekindled their romance — and won the entire season.

“I don’t think we have a strategy, like, we don’t really give strategic. We are very much [go with the] flow,” Serena exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2024. “Even [the conversation about] closing things off [in the villa] was just like, ‘Yeah, so we gonna do this?’ … I feel like we’ll both just know at the right time.”

The transition from the villa back to real life wasn’t easy but Serena and Kordell made it look effortless as they decided to move in together in Los Angeles (after Kordell left Texas). Fans have since watched Serena and Kordell’s future get even more serious.

Despite not filming much together for the Beyond the Villa spinoff, Serena and Kordell have made it clear that they committed for the long haul. Keep scrolling to relive Serena and Kordell’s romance following their meet cute on Love Island USA:

Serena and Kordell started the season off strong before taking a brief break to figure out their platonic dynamic. The unofficial split made Serena realize how much she cared about Kordell, which brought them back together just before Casa Amor.

The aftermath of Casa Amor led to Serena’s iconic crash out when Kordell didn’t return on his own. But by the next recoupling, Serena and Kordell were back together and their journey stood out the most to viewers, who voted them the winners.

During an exclusive interview with Us, Kordell reflected on his uncontroversial love story, saying, “All of that was real. Real emotions, real passion, real feelings. It’s just like, ‘How can you hate it?’” he said.

Kordell and Serena also offered updates on their plans for the $100,000 prize money.

“I’m gonna be investing and putting it towards the business and my career,” Kordell shared. “But as far as spending, I’m not gonna spend it on anything unless she wants a little something. [Serena] might get a little something.”

“Every moment that I spend with her, it’s still surreal,” Kordell told Us. “It doesn’t feel real. But, you know, I’m not mad at it. I love it. I love every moment I spend with her. We’ve been growing. We’re learning a lot from each other, and it’s a lot of support both ways.”

He continued: “I’m just happy overall to be in a relationship with her because I’ve never really met someone like her. She brings the best out of me and vice versa. We bring the best out of ourselves and each other. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where else we can go, but I’m definitely seeing us already progressing from where we started.”

Ahead of their one-year anniversary, Serena and Kordell reflected on the significance of representing Black love on reality TV.

“As someone who grew up watching reality TV and I hadn’t seen much of Black love on TV, did I go in there and think that that would happen? Not at all,” Serena explained to Us. “I did not think that would happen, but I’m so grateful and blessed that I am in that. I found me such an amazing Black man who loves me down.”

Serena noted that they were just as committed to each other as ever. “We do a lot of things together,” she shared. “We’re honestly each other’s supporters because we kind of both know what we’re going through right now. Anytime I have anything, I’m like, ‘babe.’”

“My birthday babyy. Happiest of birthdays to the literal man of my dreams, almost 1 year later and I cannot believe how obsessed I still am with you. It’s so amazing to watch you grow and your dreams come true in real time, I am so so proud of the man you are growing into more and more everyday and cannot wait to spend more birthdays with you!!” Serena wrote via Instagram for her boyfriend’s birthday. “Thank you for being the best boyfriend, partner, friend, and making me the happiest girl ever. I hope I was able to make this birthday so so special for you because you deserve it and more.”

Peacock’s Beyond the Villa will reunite most of the season 6 including Leah Kateb, Serena, JaNa Craig, Miguel Harichi, Kaylor Martin, Connor Newsum, Kenny Rodriguez, Olivia “Liv” Walker and Kendall Washington.

One of the only people missing was Kordell.

“At [first] he was going to do it with me. I had fully confirmed, signed the contracts and everything, and then he got booked,” Page told Teen Vogue. “I was very proud of him, but I was sad and it made me very anxious about filming because I was like, ‘Damn, I’m going to be alone.’”

She continued: “Granted, I have my girls Leah [Kateb] and JaNa [Craig] but their men were on the show doing it with them. There were a lot of times where I was like, ‘Damn, I don’t know. We’re supposed to be navigating our relationship, but you’re about to be in a whole different state. What am I going to do?’”

Serena praised Kordell for doing “an amazing job reassuring” her that he would join her on the show when he could.

“He was like, ‘Any crumb of a chance I can get, I’m going to be on that screen with you.’ And honestly, you’re going to see a lot more of him than you would’ve expected,” she shared. “It’s maybe [only] a handful of scenes that I’ve done without him. Y’all will get to see some behind-the-scenes of me and him working together. Y’all get to see dates. He even ends up coming to Miami, too.”
