A man has died in a crash north of Brisbane after multiple vehicles were seen travelling at high speed on the wrong side of the highway overnight.
The vehicles travelling southbound in the northbound lanes of the Bruce Highway about 10.30pm on Tuesday.
One of the vehicles, an Isuzu truck, crashed into a white Honda Accord travelling in the opposite direction at Burpengary.
A 26-year-old Redcliffe man driving the Accord was critically injured and died at the scene.
The driver of the Isuzu was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A crime scene was declared, with sections of the highway closed until about 5am.
