Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Melbourne’s outer-west.
Emergency services were called to a bus stop near Haines Drive in Wyndham Vale following reports of an altercation about 8pm on Wednesday.
The yet-to-be-identified man was found with stab wounds and died at the scene, despite efforts to save him.
Two offenders fled the scene along Vaughn Street before police arrived.
“A crime scene has been established while detectives investigate to determine what occurred,” police said in a statement.

Last month, Lino Atem, 24, was found dead with stab wounds in a reserve less than a kilometre from Wednesday’s crime scene.
Atem was killed in a targeted attack at Haines Drive Reserve after he and his friends were set upon by a group armed with knives.
No charges have been laid over the January attack.
