A mom has left internet users in stitches after sharing her son’s “strange” uniform mishap.

The Threads user, Megan Kay (@megankay19), explained what unfolded in a now‑viral incident that has garnered over 531,000 views on the platform.

“Upon placing Nathan in the car after school today, it was apparent that he had changed into a different shirt from the one he was wearing during school hours. When asked about this, Nathan explained that Miss Cathie told him to change his shirt. Then I found this in his backpack,” the mom wrote.

Inside was a pink print‑out titled “Oops! Accidents Happen”—with “accidents” crossed out and corrected to “strange incidents.” It revealed that Nathan had borrowed a shirt because he was “laying on/across the toilet listening to the echo.”

Threads users were quick to weigh in and share other hilarious anecdotes.

“The strange incidents correction,” posted J.

“Sure when Nathan does it it’s ‘oopsie!’ When I do it it’s ‘maam. This is a public library bathroom please leave,’” commented Jamie Sara.

“That teacher did you a solid…maybe bring her donuts,” suggested Hannah.

“‘Strange incidents’ ‘Listening to the echo’. This is the absolute BEST,” wrote another user.

“You know the teacher caught him in the act and was just like ‘buddy…WHAT are you doing?’ And he said ‘Listening to the echo’ as if it were the most OBVIOUS thing in the world,” added Kate.

“‘Strange incidents’ is so funny,” posted another user.

“Goes up there with the day I vividly remember being 3 years old in preschool turning on the stepstool to after washing my hands, losing my balance, and careening headfirst into the toilet. I walked out of the bathroom sopping and sobbing and told my teacher ‘I FELL IN THE TOILET’ and she couldn’t stop laughing,” said Alex.

“I don’t know Nathan, but I’m pretty sure I would love him. He seems like my kind of kid. Curious, thinks outside of the box/toilet…embrace that energy,” added Millicent Nelson.

“During COVID shutdown my free range feral spawn ran amok on our 30+ acres. Our land was their playground and in true boy fashion…also their urinal. First day at daycare after the shutdown my oldest dropped his pants and took a leak. At least aiming away from the playground boundary,” commented Krista.

“My son was definitely not one to get in trouble at school so when the principal called one day I was immediately nervous. He got a detention for trying to army crawl into the bathroom without turning on the automatic light,” shared Donelle.
