LeBron James continues to rack up points deep into his career, further cementing himself as one of the greatest NBA players of all time.

As the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night, James reached another stunning milestone in his career, hitting the 51,000 mark (for playoffs and regular season). Fans remain in awe of the Lakers’ star, as he continues dominating at 41-years-old.

@FrannyPlays: The GOAT

Some are sure that LeBron James isn’t chasing anybody else at this stage of his career. While LeBron-Jordan is heavily debated, understandably so, James’ resume just continues to get more impressive as he hasn’t shown much slowing down this deep into his run.

@WoaXMamba: he’s literally the best ever

@ChadOpsCoinKek: He is the greatest of all time for a reason

Back in 2023, LeBron and the Lakers faced the Oklahoma City Thunder in an early November matchup.

The regular-season outing was the talk of the league, as LeBron James was ready to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s long-standing record. It was year 20 for LeBron, and he needed 36 points to surpass 38,387 points.

He finished with 38, giving himself the record on the night that everybody expected it. Since then, he’s just continued to shatter it.

@BronGotGame: Wow… what are we witnessing right now? Can we take a step back as human beings and just realize that this man is nothing like us

@TheRealAKoss: No one breaking that record

With the playoffs included, Abdul-Jabbar is over 44,000, while Karl Malone is third with over 41,000.

The closest active players to LeBron are Kevin Durant (6th), James Harden (11th), and Stephen Curry (15th).

On the second night of a back-to-back set, LeBron went from being questionable to cleared. While he can’t be sure about his status on night two right away, LeBron appeared in his second full back-to-back set against the Raptors, serving up over 30 minutes of action.

James finished the game by shooting 9-17 from the field, scoring 24 points. He dished out seven assists and came down with four rebounds.

So far this season, James has averaged 22.6 points on 50 percent shooting in the 23 games leading up to Sunday’s win over Toronto. It’s unclear if LeBron is planning to keep playing beyond the 2025-2026 season right now, but it’s apparent he’s still performing at a high level.
