Orlando Bloom has broken his silence on his breakup from Katy Perry after nine years together.

“I’m great, man. I’m so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter,” Bloom, 48, said on the Friday, September 5, broadcast of Today, referring to 5-year-old Daisy Dove. “You know, when you leave everything on the field, like I did in [The Cut], I feel grateful for all of it.”

He added, “We’re great [and] we’re going to be great. It’s nothing but love.”

Us Weekly broke the news in June that Bloom and Perry, 40, called off their engagement. (Bloom proposed in 2019, one year before they welcomed Daisy.)

“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source exclusively told Us at the time. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is, of course, upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”

Perry, who was previously married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012, and Bloom are now focused on coparenting Daisy. (Bloom is also the father of son Flynn, 14, from his past marriage to model Miranda Kerr.)

“They are still very much in touch and coparenting Daisy together,” a second insider told Us later in August. “Orlando brought Daisy to meet Katy on tour before heading to the Bezos’ wedding. It’s not messy between them. They aren’t making drastic changes for Daisy’s sake.”

Bloom had attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy, in June while Perry was finishing up the Australian leg of her Lifetimes Tour.

Shortly after Perry wrapped her Australian concerts, she and Bloom put on a united front for a vacation with their blended family.

“Dump 4 ya 🤍,” Bloom wrote via Instagram on July 9, sharing a pic with Perry on a yacht alongside Daisy and Flynn.

Perry and Bloom’s reps also released a statement, echoing that the now-exes don’t have any lingering bad blood following the breakup.

“Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” a statement shared with Us read. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”

Bloom and the “California Gurls” singer were first linked in 2016 but broke up less than one year later. They got back together in 2018 before the British actor proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2019.
