Adult film star and University of Miami student Abella Danger experienced the highs and lows of sports fandom during her viral appearance at the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship.

Danger, who is currently studying law at Miami, was shown on the ESPN broadcast of the game between the Hurricanes and the Indiana Hoosiers on Monday, January 19, which drew some very strong reactions from viewers at home.

“Guys across the country watching the game with their wives and having to pretend they had no idea who Abella Danger was when they showed her on TV and their wife asked ‘Who’s that?l” one person joked via X.

Another wrote, “I would think it’s funny ESPN kept showing Abella Danger during Miami games if I knew who that person was which I definitely don’t why would you even ask what’s funny about it I don’t get it.”

After Indiana defeated Miami 27-21 to win the national title, however, Danger, 30, wasn’t in a laughing mood.

Danger posted a video via her Instagram Story of herself crying inside Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium as red-and-white confetti fell and fireworks exploded to celebrate Indiana’s victory.

“I hate this! I hate this!” she screamed.

After she managed to compose herself, Danger posted another video to her Story as she walked out of the stadium.

“Even though we lost, I don’t care,” she said. “‘Cuz that game tonight proved that no other team deserved to be in the national versus Miami. No other team. Miami deserved that. Everyone counted us out. I don’t care if we lost. Those men out there, they were the best of the best. No one deserved that spot other than Miami.”

She continued, “That was not a blowout. That was not an ass whooping. Down to the f***ing wire. I don’t care. The only reason I’m sad is for these players that worked their butt off all season. They’re still winners. I don’t care.”

Danger also posted a note to her Story explaining her diehard Hurricanes fandom.

“I was born and raised in Miami, i went to south miami middle school 5 minutes from UM where we all wore orange and green just like UM, i have dreamt of being a hurricane since i was 10 years old, my love for the canes is UNCONDITIONAL, I am and will always be a Hurricane and we WILL be back with a vengeance.”

She continued, “Tomorrow I’m going to class with my head held so high because we made it to the natty and 99% of schools did not ❤️.”

Danger explained her unique journey to the University of Miami during an interview with Miami hospitality magnate Alan Roth in September 2025.

“I always knew I wanted to go to college one day, I just didn’t know when I was going to go,” she said. “So then the pandemic came and that was like a really big shift. I feel like no one came in and came out of the pandemic the same. I feel like it changes everyone. I was like, ‘This is a pretty good time for me to finally go back to school.’”

Danger “worked my butt off” for two years at Miami Dade College before being accepted by the University of Miami.

The adult film star expects to graduate in December 2026.
