Rhea Ripley has had enough of the commentary about her appearance, and she made that clear in a direct message posted to social media.
The WWE star addressed a wave of online criticism aimed at her physique, pointing out the contradictions in the comments she continues to receive. Rather than brushing it off, Ripley laid it all out. “Too manly. Too bulky. Too muscly. Too much sex appeal. Too lean / skinny.”
She then summed up her reaction to the pile of conflicting opinions with a single word and a laugh emoji. “It’s comical really 🤣”
Ripley then shifted to a more pointed message, reminding her critics that they have no insight into what she deals with privately. “1. You know nothing about me and what’s going on in my life or my mental.”
She closed by throwing the challenge back at those doing the criticizing. “2. Post a photo of yourself. 😊 You won’t.”

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T addressed similar fan criticism directed at Ripley in recent weeks, calling out fans for their negativity and stating that her accomplishments have more than earned her a spot in marquee events like WrestleMania 42.
The commentary about Ripley’s physique has picked up in recent weeks alongside the build to her WrestleMania 42 title match against Jade Cargill. The two have been trading barbs publicly since Ripley won the Women’s Elimination Chamber in February. Their face-to-face promo on SmackDown earlier this month centered explicitly on their respective physiques, with Ripley telling Cargill that her body is built for show while Ripley’s is built for fighting.
The conversation around Ripley’s appearance has also touched on a visible change in her physique compared to earlier in her career, with Ripley herself previously discussing ongoing back issues that have affected her in recent years. She has been open about the physical demands of competing at a high level week after week and the toll it takes on her body.
Ripley is one of the most prominent women in WWE heading into WrestleMania 42, where she challenges Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship on April 18 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
