A trio of tomb raiders have crisscrossed the country robbing cemetery mausoleums — including lavish keepsake heirlooms sealed inside the niches, police said.
The suspected thieves — originally from Indianapolis — are wanted in Florida where they’ve made 20 successful scores alone, though their ransacking spree has stretched from Texas to Buffalo.
“Imagine losing your wife or husband and placing their wedding ring, and yours, in the niche – only to have them stolen by thieves looking for an easy payday,” wrote the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in a statement on Facebook Wednesday.
