Season 4 of Southern Hospitality is giving a whole new meaning to the phrase “work hard, play hard” — but will all the Republic Garden and Lounge employees last?
“My reading on this season? Lovers,” Grace Lilly ominously warns in the season 4 trailer, which dropped on Thursday, January 22, pointing to costars Maddi Reese and Joe Bradley’s relationship as must-see TV.
In the teaser, Joe, who had a fake wedding with Maddi last season, tells the cameras, “Maddi is it for me man, I’m starting to look at rings.”
While they appear to be in love, elsewhere in the video fans see that there might actually be some trouble in paradise.
“I’m constantly checking your location and you’re not at Republic,” Maddi claims, telling her boyfriend, “You’re out at the bar. You get drunk every f***ing weekend.”
Joe denies the allegations, saying, “This is all in your head.”
Joe and Maddi’s romance woes don’t seem to be his only issue this season as newcomer Justin Assad has all the female servers talking — and their boss Leva Bonaparte rethinking her corporate structure.
“Justin is a new host. He has some swag,” Lake Rucker teases as clips of Justin making out with her and other women flash across the screen.
Justin plays coy about his relationship status, telling the cameras, “Everyone’s saying I’m a f***boy,” before a snippet of him doing a body shot off Mia Alario’s torso pops up.
Although Joe claims he’s happy dating DJ Maddi, he could have an issue with Justin over the hierarchy at Republic.
“I feel like I’ve been the face of your company. I’m hard to replace,” Joe boldly tells Leva, who quickly fires back, “You have been replaced.”
Lake then hints that Justin has swooped in and taken his place as the No. 1 employee, asking, “Is it Just-y Bottles now instead of Joey Bottles?” Justin cheekily replies, “It might have to be, baby.”
Leva also has a heart-to-heart with employee Michols Peña in the trailer, warning him, “You can’t have this job if you can’t manage your temper.”
Although Michols does appear to go off on several occasions in the video, including butting heads with Molly Moore, it’s Emmy Sharrett’s breakdowns that have Us reeling.
“I don’t believe a word that comes out of your mouth at this point. It just feels like bulls*** time and time again,” Bradley Carter tells Emmy, who has been at odds with the majority of the cast since she chose to listen to her fiancé, Will Kulp, and not their friends when he was accused of cheating on her on seasons 2 and 3. (Will has denied the allegations.)
During a group dinner, Bradley once again comes for Emmy claiming, “You stabbed a knife in my back and you keep going deeper, and deeper and deeper, without trying to pull it out in the first place. And that f***ing hurts.”
Emmy begins to hyperventilate and cries as the cameras zoom in on her face.
The trailer ends with Michols having his Tarot read by Grace. “What are those clowns,” he asks.
“No, those are actually witches and they’re talking s***,” Grace reveals. “Yeah, they have been,” Michols quips.
Season 4 of Southern Hospitality premieres on Bravo Wednesday, March 4, at 9 p.m. ET. Episodes will stream the next day on Peacock.
