SS-GreenLight Racing has announced a new collaboration with BRK Racing for the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series.
As an integral part of the partnership, Garrett Smithley will continue as a driver for SS-GreenLight Racing.
SS-GreenLight Racing has been a dedicated competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series since its inception by Bobby Dotter in 2000.
The expansion to include Garrett Smithley as a full-time driver in 2025 highlights the team’s commitment to progressing and seizing new opportunities. Similarly, BRK Racing, operated by Randy and Beth Knighton, is stepping up its involvement in NASCAR, moving from sponsorship to active team ownership.

Randy Knighton shared his enthusiasm about venturing into this racing partnership, stating:
“Beth and I are ecstatic to take our enthusiasm for NASCAR to the next level by partnering with [SS-GreenLight Racing] in the ownership/sponsorship of the No. 14 Xfinity car for the 2025 season.”
Beth Knighton also echoed her positive outlook for the forthcoming season.
“We’re so optimistic about the season.
“We can’t wait to see what the combination of Garrett’s experience and maturity in racing, along with the consistency in sponsorship, crew, and care chief, and access to better quality equipment will bring for him and the team. We think Garrett can accomplish great things this year.”
Garrett Smithley, a driver who’s been making regular appearances in NASCAR races since 2015, has been announced as the full-time driver of the No. 14 Chevrolet.
Throughout his career, he has made 180 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and has proven his potential with a top-five finish at Daytona in 2018 and several top-10s, with the most recent at Talladega in 2020.

With this partnership happening, Bobby Dotter, the owner of SS-GreenLight Racing, shared his thoughts:

“And having Garrett back, his experience will be crucial to succeeding in 2025. When Garrett has raced for us in the past he did a stellar job, and we look forward to building on that prior success.”
Knighton’s primary business, Knight Fire Protection, based in Olympia, Washington, has supported Smithley for a long time.
