Sweden’s centre-left opposition bloc, which backs Social Democrat leader Magdalena Andersson for prime minister, was leading Sunday’s parliamentary election, with the Social Democrats on 28.1% of the vote in preliminary results from the Swedish Election Authority.
The Sweden Democrats were in third place in the preliminary count, behind Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson’s Moderates, with 17.6% of the vote compared with 19.9% for the Moderates.
