Taylor Swift almost dropped a luxury watch worth more than $65,000 while celebrating at a Kansas City Chiefs game.
The “Shake It Off” songstress was spotted almost losing the Louis Vuitton timepiece after high-fiving someone in the VIP suite during Sunday’s Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium against the Denver Broncos.
Swift was on hand at the game with her mom, Andrea Swift, to cheer on the singer’s boyfriend, Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce.
While many commented on the singer’s red houndstooth ensemble complete with black corset top, others couldn’t help but notice her bling—including the gold Louis Vuitton Tambour watch she wore on her right wrist.
Made from 18k yellow gold and featuring a sapphire crystal coating, the luxury item sells for $65,200.
But it almost came flying off Swift’s arm during a celebration at the game.
The moment was caught on video by a punter in the stands in front of the VIP suite, showing showed Swift noticing the watch had started to slip off after the high five gesture and her quickly clasping it back on safely.
“No and over $50k watch almost falling from her wrist 😭😭,” the video was captioned on the Swift X, formerly Twitter fan account, @thisisvertrying.
Swift’s fans, known as Swifties, reacted to the moment in the replies of the post.
“Reminded me of when she lost her ring at 2023 VMAs 😅,” wrote @shayli75.
“Seriously how did that unclasp so easily!” replied @Liza1381819.
And @Madder_LeeKnee added: “Now I know why she rarely wear watches.🤣😅.”
Fans had been particularly interested in the watch, as the singer is not known for wearing watches regularly—a fact noted by Sarah Chapelle, who has long analyzed Swift’s outfits.
“Over the last year, Taylor has upped her jewelry game and has explored the art of the stack in various categories (necklaces, earrings, bracelets),” Chapelle wrote on her Instagram account, Taylor Swift Styled, on Sunday.
“But one category that is entirely new to her? Watches. In my memory, the only time I can recall Taylor coming close to watches is when they were formatted into different settings like, say, a vintage watch face restrung onto a necklace pendant.”

Swift is currently in Toronto, where she will perform six concerts in her record-breaking Eras world tour. It is the highest grossing live music tour of all time and will have performed 149 shows across five continents since starting in March 2023.
