A teenage girl with her family has died after slipping off a cliff on the Sunshine Coast.
The 17-year-old fell about 30 metres from the rock face at Moffat Beach in Caloundra about 6.40pm on Saturday.
Nine News Queensland reported she had jumped the fence to take a photo when she slipped.
Bystanders rushed to the clifftop, and a second woman was injured while trying to help.
Police, ambulance and fire rescue crews were called, but the girl was declared dead at the scene.
“Just please respect the barriers that are put in place,” Ryan Dubyk from Queensland Fire and Rescue said after the death. “Just stay back.”
