A minibus transporting wedding guests has rolled down an embankment in the Hunter Valley with six people on board.

About 10.30am on Wednesday, emergency services were called to Mount View Road just outside Cessnock after reports a small bus had left the road.
NSW Ambulance confirmed two people are seriously injured, one of whom was temporarily trapped inside the vehicle. Four other passengers only sustained minor injuries.

A Toll Ambulance Rescue helicopter landed on a nearby field to transport the injured to hospital.
The minibus was part of a wedding convoy, with a Volkswagen Kombi van carrying fellow attendees seen pulled over near the crash site, and a group of guests standing nearby.
A crime scene has been established, and motorists have been urged to avoid the area while the emergency response unfolds. Mount View Road remains closed.
