The United States Postal Service (USPS) has unveiled its latest addition to the 2025 stamp lineup, a festive set of Holiday Cheer Forever stamps designed to brighten cards and letters during the upcoming season.

Why It Matters

Forever stamps are traditionally based on important themes in American culture, including notable figures, military anniversaries, and historical events.

The four-design booklet was released on September 13, 2025, and unveiled at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum in Washington, D.C.

What To Know

The new stamps highlights traditional holiday imagery—fruit and evergreens, a holly wreath, a pair of cardinals perched on mistletoe, and a scarlet amaryllis bouquet—crafted using a distinctive collage method.

“With colder days and longer nights approaching, these stamps offer a fresh and festive way to brighten up our holiday cards and letters, in turn, brightening the lives of our friends and loved ones,” said Michael J. Elston, USPS vice president of labor relations.

Four Classic Designs

Artist Denise Fiedler created the works with gouache and acrylic paint layered on vintage gardening book pages, then assembled on archival cotton board. USPS art director Derry Noyes oversaw the final design.

Each of the four stamps features a familiar seasonal motif:

  • An illustration of a yellow Bartlett pear, a red pomegranate and a clementine beside an evergreen branch.
  • A wreath of mixed light and dark green leaves, holly berries and a large red bow.
  • Two crimson cardinals perched on a mistletoe branch.
  • Three scarlet amaryllis flowers tied together with a red ribbon.

The Postal Service said the imagery was chosen to reflect timeless holiday traditions, while showcasing a handcrafted, layered style.

Holiday Cheer stamps are issued as Forever stamps, meaning they will always hold the value of the current First-Class Mail 1-ounce rate. The booklet of 20 sells for $15.60.
