Ana de Armas kept busy with venture capitalist Marcelo Valente following her split from Tom Cruise.

Us Weekly learned in October 2025 that “Tom and Ana are done for now” with the No Time to Die actress being the one to make the decision to cool down the relationship.

“It was more Ana’s decision because things were moving fast and she started to get a little uncomfortable with how fast it was going,” an insider told Us at the time.

De Armas was subsequently spotted on a stroll in Los Angeles with venture capitalist Valente the following month. Valente is a partner at the financial firm Babel Ventures, which focuses on investing in startups.

“I pay attention to [my clients’] interests and I know who to call in this time of crisis when an opportunity arises,” Valente told GQ Globo in July 2020.

According to his public LinkedIn profile, Valente joined San Francisco-based venture capitalism firm Babel Ventures as its head of partnerships in July 2017. He was later promoted to become a partner at the firm in March 2019.

Babel Venture’s stated goal is to “empower visionary entrepreneurs who are not only driving innovation but also shaping a more sustainable future.”
