Steph Curry will miss Sunday’s NBA All-Star events after being voted as a Western Conference starter for 2026.

Before All-Star Weekend approached, Curry started experiencing concerns with his knee. As a result, the superstar guard decided it would be best to sit out, as he hasn’t been cleared to play for the Golden State Warriors lately.

Has Steph Curry Ever Missed an All-Star Game?

Since he became an All-Star, Curry has only missed the game once due to an injury.

During the 2018-2019 NBA season, Curry was dealing with a hand-related issue, which had him off the floor for a chunk of time. It was the first time he couldn’t play in the game since the first time he was voted in during the 2013-2014 season.

The 2019-2020 season was the first time Curry wasn’t voted in after making it six years in a row. He played in just five games that year. Curry was back on the All-Stars roster in 2020-2021 and has been voted in every year since.

When Will Steph Curry Return?

When Warriors head coach Steve Kerr last addressed Curry’s status, he made it clear there is not definitive timeline for a return.

“I talked to Steph earlier, and he said he was feeling better, so he’s trending in a good direction, but he’ll be day-to-day when he comes back,” Kerr told reporters before the break.

Curry left the Warriors’ January 30 matchup against the Detroit Pistons after appearing in 25 minutes. When the Warriors hosted the Philadelphia 76ers on February 3, Curry missed the game. He enters the All-Star break with five absences in a row.

The Warriors will be back on the court on Thursday, February 19, for their matchup against the Boston Celtics, marking the official return from the break. Curry is likely considered questionable for that matchup until Kerr offers another update later in the week.
