A woman who passed on her husband’s offer to shower together was met moments later with a blast of Celine Dion’s All by Myself—and more than 2.6 million viewers on TikTok have been laughing along with his reaction ever since.
Cristina Bedoya, 31, from South Carolina, posted the now-viral clip to her account @titibelrob on October 27. The video shows her approaching the bathroom and opening the door to reveal her husband, Spencer, concealed by the shower curtain for privacy, dramatically playing Dion’s power ballad on a tablet on the bathroom counter after her rejection. An overlaid text on the video read: “You declined your husband’s invitation to shower together.” The post’s caption added: “Unbearable pain.”
“I was awake but still in bed,” Bedoya told Newsweek. “My husband, Spencer, had woken up to work out and came to our bedroom after finishing. He asked me if I wanted to share a shower with him, to which I said no, because I was cozy in bed.”
It was not long before Bedoya heard the song blaring from the bathroom and decided to capture the moment. “It made me laugh, so I decided to record it on my phone and post it on TikTok,” she said. “I never expected the magnitude of the reaction from the audience.
“To be honest, I never expect more than 20 likes from my videos,” Bedoya added.
The lighthearted post quickly took off, garnering over 229,000 likes and sparking thousands of amused comments from viewers who related to the playful dynamic. Many couples shared stories of similar jokes in their relationships, while others praised Spencer’s theatrical delivery.
Bedoya added that she and her husband have tried to keep up with the flood of responses that came after posting the clip.
“Hubby and I have read many comments, but it has been impossible to read all of them; they keep coming in hundreds every day,” she said.
Still, the couple have been enjoying the moment.
“We do appreciate the comments that emphasize the humor in the video and the couples who relate to the situation portrayed,” Bedoya added. “It has been so fun to see that lots of people make similar jokes in their own relationships!”
