Canadian journalist Lloyd Robertson, who spent more than six decades in the broadcasting industry has died at the age of 92.
CTV News Network said the death was confirmed by his family Tuesday.
From spinning records at his hometown radio station in Stratford, Ont., to rising through the ranks of television journalism at the CBC before switching networks, Robertson redefined the role of the news anchor and earned the trust of Canadians nationwide.
As chief anchor and senior editor at CTV News, Robertson led the country’s most-watched newscast.
For millions of Canadians he became a trusted guide through the biggest news stories.
