Nadeen Ayoub, the first-ever “Miss Palestine” contestant, is among the final 30 contestants vying for the Miss Universe title — surviving the latest round of the competition hours after The Post exposed her secret marriage to a convicted terrorist’s son.
Ayoub has spent the past days and weeks competing in the preliminary competitions to qualify for the final Miss Universe pageant, ultimately gaining enough support to allow her to continue her pursuit of the major international title.
The announcement, made shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday, kicked off the final phase of the Miss Universe competition, with a winner to be determined at the end of the program.
However, Ayoub was eliminated following the swimsuit round — the first competition of the night — in which she wore a white one-piece and sheer, white tights covering her legs.
Pageant participants are scored on a number of categories — from evening gowns to interviews and platforms — to determine winners.
Her inclusion in the top 30 meant she scored higher than at least 90 other competitors from countries around the world, but not high enough to make it into the top 12.
Years-old screenshots and social media posts obtained by The Post show she took pains to delete social media post that she was once married to Sharaf Barghouti — the son of infamous Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti, who is serving five life sentences in Israel for orchestrating terror attacks that killed five people in 2001 and 2002.
Ayoub and Sharaf Barghouti have a child together who they named after the convicted terrorist.
Miss USA was also announced as one of the top 30 contestants in the pageant formerly owned by President Trump.
The full list of finalists also includes: Mexico, Philippines, Zimbabwe, Costa Rica, Malta, Chile, Canada, Miss Universe Latina, Croatia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Palestine, Nicaragua, France, Paraguay, China, Thailand, Brazil, Rwanda, Côte d’Ivoire, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Bangladesh, Cuba, Japan, Puerto Rico, Netherlands, India and Guatemala.
