Melissa Gorga has some advice for the new Real Housewives of New Jersey cast members as they gear up for season 15.
“I want them to be authentic, and I want them to know not to be nervous,” Melissa, 47, told Us Weekly exclusively while attending the Bovita Health — premium colostrum-based wellness line — launch at Ludlow House in New York City on Wednesday, April 15. “I want us all to be as one on this show. I hope that they, kind of, put it all out there, and they don’t prewatch a lot. Just walk in with [your] real feelings and just show us what you got, girls.”
Melissa said that she’s hoping for “fun” new costars as the Bravo cameras pick back up for season 15.
“I want to learn about new people,” she said. “We’ll learn about what they’re going through in their lives, about what they’re going through with their husbands and their families.”
Bravo confirmed last month that RHONJ is officially returning with Melissa, Teresa Giudice and Dolores Catania, along with a few newcomers who have yet to be announced.
While she’s looking forward to having a fresh start, Melissa also noted that she’ll miss Margaret Josephs, who announced last month that she’s “moving on” from RHONJ.
“I’ve been working with her on the show for a really long time. She’s a great asset to our show. She’s always been,” Melissa gushed. “She’s a very good friend of mine. I do know she’s excited to go on and try new things. But I’m gonna miss Margaret. I’m gonna miss the ponytail girl.”
Melissa also claimed Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral — who appeared on seasons 13 and 14 — “didn’t get a fair shot” on the show because of the Gorga-Giudice family feud. There are a few more surprising RHONJ alums Melissa wishes were returning, too.
“I mean, listen, I’m ready for Danielle [Staub] to come back,” Melissa told Us. “I think Kim [DePaola] would be fun. Let’s all hail Kim D.”
When it comes to her own RHONJ return, Melissa just hopes viewers will see her “growth” from the show’s two-year break.
“I think a lot of the people who have been watching the show since my freshman year have seen me grow, and I feel like I’ve grown more in the past two years than ever,” she told Us. “I’m so comfortable in my skin now and saying what’s on my mind. I just want them to enjoy that with me, because it feels so freaking good to just say everything that I’m feeling.”
Melissa also made it clear that she has zero nerves, teasing,“I’m excited. Bring it on!”
As part of her preparation for RHONJ season 15, Melissa is stepping up her beauty routine — and there’s nothing too experimental.
“Just recently I injected exosomes into my scalp,” she told Us. “It’s what God creates. It comes from the placenta. Injecting it with this long needle, because it helps the growth and the hair.”
