Jeana Keough is receiving love, support and encouragement from her Real Housewives of Orange County family after her tongue cancer diagnosis was revealed.
“By now, most of you have heard my incredible friend @jeanakeough is battling cancer. Her daughter Kara explained her journey on this GoFundMe post,” Vicki Gunvalson wrote via Instagram Sunday, July 19. “Please donate if you can, and lift her up in healing ❤️🩹 prayers. Jeana, you have been there for so many people through your life, now it’s our turn to be there for you! We love you girl 💪🙏❤️.”
Tamra Judge also brought awareness to the GoFundMe page, which aims to raise funds that will go directly toward expenses, everyday living costs, nutrition and additional support.
“We love you, Momma Jeana ❤️,” Tamra, 58, wrote via Instagram on Sunday. “Keeping you in our prayers every step of the way. If you’re able to support her, the GoFundMe link is in my story and in my bio. Every donation, no matter the size, truly helps 🙏.”
Within 24 hours, Jeana, 70, received donations from several members of the Bravo family. Andy Cohen donated $5,000 while RHOC’s newest cast member, Carmella Garcia, pledged $1,000.
Vicki, 64, Tamra, Jill Zarin and Kara’s close friends Bode Miller and Morgan Beck Miller have also donated to the cause.
“My beautiful friend Jeana Keough has for months been battling tongue cancer, squamous cell carcinoma specifically,” RHOC alum Quinn Fry wrote via Instagram on Sunday. “She is now going through chemo, radiation and immunotherapy all at once & could really use our help. Jeana — who shares three children with ex-husband Matt Keough — was an original cast member on Bravo’s RHOC, starring as a full-time Housewife for the show’s first five seasons from 2006 to 2010. She went on to make several cameos over the years and is expected to appear in the show’s 20th season later this summer.
Over the weekend, Jeana’s daughter, Kara Keough, was first to announce that her mom was diagnosed with tongue cancer or squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue.
The Orange County resident is now in her fifth week of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy.
“Everyone who knows her knows this: she’s almost impossibly optimistic in the face of terrifying things — wildfires, cancer, uncertainty. Yet somehow she’s always been afraid of the simplest thing: being vulnerable enough to ask for help.
