WASHINGTON — Firebrand Rep. Lauren Boebert stunned reporters Thursday by chastising lawmakers in Congress for being “horny” — three years after she was infamously caught on camera groping her date in public.
Reacting to the string of sex scandals that have rocked Congress and led to two resignations this week, the 39-year-old MAGA grandma vented that lawmakers need to return to religious values.
“Yeah, go to church, find Jesus. Like, I mean, why is everybody so horny here?” a baffled-sounding Boebert (R-Col.) told reporters near the Capitol steps before walking away.
Back in 2023, Boebert went viral after getting ejected from a “Beetlejuice” performance in a Denver theater after a handsy session with on a first date with Quinn Gallagher, a Democrat. The two have quickly ended their relationship.
The couple enraged fellow theater patrons by blowing up a plume of vape smoke into the air and snapping photos together in violation of the theater policy. Boebert later apologized
“I was a little too eccentric. I am very known for having an animated personality. Maybe overly animated personality,” the rabble-rouser rep later conceded to One America News Network.
“I was laughing, I was singing, having a fantastic time. Was told to kind of settle it down a little bit, which I did, but then my next slip-up was taking a picture.”
Around that time, Boebert was going through a tough divorce from Jayson, who publicly lamented that he had been “unfaithful to Lauren in so many ways.”
Both the congresswoman and Jayson have dealt with problems from their eldest son, Tyler, who was recently hit with another child abuse charge for allegedly letting his two-year-old son wander out of the home unattended.
