Bronwyn Newport is opening up for the first time about her separation from husband Todd Bradley.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 40, told People in an interview published on Tuesday, January 27, that despite announcing her split from Bradley in December 2025, the exes are still living together.
“We might be the only people in the world who don’t have young children who are nesting, but we’re doing it for our dogs,” said Newport, referring to the couple’s five boxers: Douglas, Zoe, Remy, Petey and Freddie. (Newport has a daughter, Gwen, 20, from a previous relationship.)
Newport announced her separation from the tech executive after nine years of marriage in a statement to People last month.
The reality star’s representative said that “after thoughtful consideration, Bronwyn Newport and Todd Bradley have separated.”
“This was a mutual decision made with care and respect for one another. They ask for privacy during this time,” the Bravolebrity’s rep added.
In her People interview, Newport admitted that she still has feelings for Bradley, 66, and is hopeful for an amicable split.
“I really care about Todd. That’s not something that turns off overnight. I want the very best for him. I really do want to be best friends with Todd,” she said. “I think as we’ve gotten closer to that in the last few weeks, there’s a lot more of that old happiness and joy for both of us.”
“I’m not happy. This is not what I wanted. It’s not where I hoped for us to be going. But from where we are, I can see wonderful things for both of us,” she added.
In fact, Newport said that she would one day like to go on a double date with Bradley and their respective future partners.
“I would love to go out with Todd and somebody new for him in the future. I would terrorize whoever he dates and it would just be so funny for me. It’s amazing. I’d have all kinds of opinions on it,” she said.
Newport explained that she knew the couple’s marriage was coming to an end while watching back RHOSLC season 6, which premiered in September 2025 and documented some of the cracks in their marriage. (In one episode, Newport opened up about allegations that Bradley was spotted looking at photos of other women while on a flight from Salt Lake City to New York.)
The reality star said the show “brought out a weird dynamic” between them, adding, “The cameras didn’t create our problems.”
Watching the issues in her marriage play out on screen was “really eye-opening,” said Newport.
“I didn’t like how needy I was, and I didn’t like how upset or defensive I was. It wasn’t a relationship that I felt like I wanted to be going forward with anymore,” she said.
Newport said that Bradley was “really there for me” over the summer while she mourned the death of her dad, David, but once the show began airing in September, “It was almost like this magical summer hadn’t happened. We were kind of right back into some of those problems.”
Newport spoke to Bradley about separating after attending BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas solo last November.
“It was maybe the first time that I felt like if he wasn’t [in my life], I was going to be OK,” she recalled of the convention.
