The Jurassic World Rebirth premiere got off to a hot start when Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey kissed on the red carpet.
The costars locked lips as they greeted each other at the event held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Tuesday, June 17, in London.
Aside from the playful peck, Johansson, 40, owned the night in a pale pink gown with a fitted bodice covered in sequins. The actress, who has been married to Colin Jost since 2020, paired the ensemble with a rose-colored makeup look and a romantic side-swept hairstyle.
Bailey, 37, went a bit more casual with a brown blazer on top of a denim shirt, khaki pants, sunglasses and a Friends baseball cap. He hugged Johansson and laughed with her as they posed for photos together on the red carpet after the kiss.
Jurassic World Rebirth is due out in theaters on July 2 and also stars Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Ed Skrein, Philippine Velge and Bechir Sylvain.
Johansson had nothing but sweet things to say about working with Bailey on the film, which is the seventh installment in the Jurassic Park franchise.
“I adore absolutely every single thing about that man,” she told Entertainment Tonight while working on the movie in September 2024.
At the London premiere, Johansson described Jurassic World Rebirth as a “love letter” to Steven Spielberg.
“Fans of the Jurassic universe can expect to really feel the DNA of the original Jurassic Park in this film,” she told Variety on Tuesday’s red carpet.
Spielberg directed 1993’s Jurassic Park and 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park and served as an executive producer of Jurassic Park III.
For Bailey, getting to star in a film in the widely successful science fiction franchise has been a full-circle moment.
“It’s beyond a dream. Jurassic Park was the first film I saw with my family when I was 5 years old, and they’re all inside, so we’re going to sit and watch it today,” he said.
In addition to acting in the film, Bailey was also involved in creating the film’s soundtrack.
“Going to Abbey Road with a 105-piece orchestra of world-class professional musicians, playing the John Williams score but also Alexandre Desplat’s score was incredible, it was completely out of body,” the actor recalled of the experience. “The musicians were lovely and let me come in with my slightly wonky technique and get involved.”
He previously showed off his musical prowess in 2024’s Wicked, earning a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of Fiyero at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Bailey is set to appear in the sequel, Wicked: For Good, which is due out in theaters on November 21.
