WA Police have seized 45 kilograms of cocaine – most of which was hidden under a concrete slab at a Welshpool commercial premises – after executing several search warrants across Perth earlier this month.
The massive drug bust began as a traffic stop on Leach Highway in Welshpool, where one kilogram of cocaine was allegedly found inside the car of a 30-year-old man.

Subsequent to that arrest, a raid of the man’s Beeliar house allegedly uncovered $92,000 in cash, and more drugs, including three kilograms of methylamphetamine.
Later that same day, detectives from the drug and firearm squad executed search warrants at a commercial property in Welshpool and a residence in Maylands.
“It will be alleged police seized approximately 28.5 kilograms of cocaine buried under a slab at the premises, along with an amount of 1,4-butanediol and illegally owned prescription drugs,” a WA Police spokesman said.
“A 37-year-old man was apprehended.”
Later that same day, a 33-year-old man was arrested at a house in Landsdale, with police also allegedly seizing 15 kilograms of cocaine and $23,000 in cash from his residence.
The trio have been charged with a string of drug-related offences and will appear in court next year.
Detective Senior Sergeant Andy Baker said the arrests reinforced WA Police’s determination to dismantle organised crime and protect the community.
