A 42-year-old man is in a critical condition after being stabbed during a fight that broke out in Jindalee on Thursday afternoon.
Police were called to an altercation involving a group of people at Arrabri Avenue about 3.45pm.
The 42-year-old from Jindalee was stabbed during the incident and sustained multiple serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
Three people fled the scene in a white Audi sedan. Police said no people were struck by the vehicle as it fled.
A crime scene was declared, and multiple people are assisting police with their enquiries.
Police believe the people involved in the fight were known to each other, and said there is no threat to the public.
Efforts to locate the three people who fled the scene, and the Audi, are ongoing.
